Letter to Parents 12.03.2025
11th March 2025
Dear parent/carer,
I hope this letter finds you well.
As you will be aware Mr Turton has been absent for some time and that I have subsequently been in post as Acting Headteacher throughout.
Mr Turton has made the difficult decision to bid farewell to NUSA. He will be relocating further north to pursue a new opportunity for the next academic year. Mr Turton thanks every student and parent for making him feel so welcome during his short time at NUSA and I am sure that you will join me in wishing him the very best in his next chapter.
Mr Turton wishes the school and community continued success and leaves knowing that students grown at NUSA will get the very best education they deserve.
Moving forward, I will assume the role of substantive Headteacher throughout the remainder of the summer term and until 1st September 2025 - whereby we hope to have appointed a new permanent Headteacher. However, please be assured that we recognise the instability of leadership the community had endured over the recent years and therefore selecting the ‘right’ person for the role is critical to ensure the school continues on its positive journey in delivering the very best education for our children.
Recruitment for our new Headteacher will be begin this week and I will be in touch again over the coming weeks to update you on our progress, ready for September.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Kindest regards,
Ms Leah Miller
Acting Headteacher
