Sixth Form Update for 2025-26

 

Dear Parent/Carers,

 

Unfortunately, the decision has been made by the school to pause our Sixth Form and therefore we are unable to offer any places for a September 2025 start. To clarify, we will not be taking any new starters into our Sixth Form in Year 12 this September. This is to ensure that we have the curriculum breadth and model in place for the change in qualifications, away from BTECs in 2026. This does not affect current Year 12 students who will be going into Year 13.

 

I appreciate this maybe disappointing news for you and your child. Please see below for where alternative locations are offering the same courses in the local area, that you may consider applying to.

 

Further support with applications to different institutions can be offered, including finding work placements for the T Level and BTEC courses. Year 11 students should make contact with Mr Kirkby or Mr Bradford, who can arrange a careers appointment for them.
