Dear Parent/Carer,

 

As we approach half term, below are a few updates. Thank you for your continued support and dialogue with the school as we continue to grow our provision for the benefit of all of our students. We break up today, Friday 25th October at 3pm and return back to school at 8:40am on Monday 4th November.

 

Free School Meal Vouchers, October half term 2024:

Nottingham City are sending to us a voucher of £15 for each student, that is currently eligible for free school meals. This will cover October half term. Details were sent in last week’s letter about this.

 

Flu vaccinations:

If you would like your child to receive the flu vaccine in school this year, please follow this link to complete an online consent form. If you would like to decline, please complete a no consent form on the attached link (this is not controlled by the school, but by an NHS nursing team): https://nhsImms.azurewebsites.net/session/e30c9ac2

The vaccinations will take place at NUSA on 9.12.24. The link will close on the 24.11.24. If your child has already had the flu vaccine elsewhere since beginning of Sept 2024, please disregard this message. Year 7 Parents/Carers Evening:

Year 7 Parents/Carers Evening is on Thursday 14th November from 3:30pm; a letter with all details of how to book in for appointments for this will be sent out on the first day back.

 

Year 11 Update:

Y11 students have received their intervention timetables for half term today, if they have a period 6 intervention session they will be in school until 3:40pm. Please support us by encouraging your child to attend these sessions.

Over half term there will be intervention days for GCSE Art (and one for Sixth Formers doing English resits). Students have received a letter and an email if they are invited. These sessions will be invaluable for their progress so please encourage your child to attend if they are invited.

Advanced warning that Year 11 Parents/Carers Evening is on Thursday 28th November from 3:30pm; details to follow after half term.

 

Mock Exams:

After half term Year 11 and Year 13 are sitting their first mocks of the year. Revision resources have been shared with all students, please encourage them with revising 2-3 a day over half term.
