Dear parent/carer,
Firstly, please can I say a MASSIVE thank you to all students, parents and carers for their support at the start of this term. Things have started really well; we’ve had a great response to our push on uniform and jewellery – I genuinely really appreciate the help given to us to get this right for our young people!
Mrs Jackie Tutin:
As I wrote to you last week, I wanted to update you with some details regarding Jackie Tutin, a beloved member of the SEND team, who really sadly passed away on Monday 26th August:
We would still like to invite students and families to send their condolences through for us to collate by Friday 13th September (date extended due to the funeral date), which we will then pass onto the family. You can do so by accessing this link:

The funeral has been arranged for Monday 16th September at 11am; I’m working with staff on our plan for that day and will let you know next week what we intend to do
Reminder: National changes to attendance:
Attendance has been great over this first week. If your child has any barriers preventing them from attending or you have any questions please contact your child’s Head of Year, Pastoral Support Manager or Attendance Team for support.
From the start of term, the new Department for Education “Working Together to Improve School Attendance” framework has come into effect. These changes affect all schools and Local Authorities nationally.
Enrichment Clubs:
All students in Year 7 to 11 will have received a letter today about clubs they may wish to take part in. If you don’t want your child to be part of these clubs then please see details in this letter.
Free School Meals/Uniform Support:
If you are not receiving Free School Meals or support in buying school uniform, you can follow the following link and apply through Nottingham City Council:

Have a great weekend.
Mr Matthew Turton
