Weekly Letter 12/07/2024

Week Commencing 8th July 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

Well, there are only two more weeks to go this academic year. I want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for everything these last two terms since I’ve been here. Your support has allowed us to make changes in the school in order to provide students the best possible education. On this note, there are changes for September in the following areas, with more details to follow over the next two weeks:

- Rewards

- Lateness logging and sanctioning

- Detentions

- Uniform, where from September students will be no longer permitted to wear bracelets (except for religious observance) or rings, and only allowed a single stud earring

Before that, however, school finishes for summer at 12pm (noon) on Thursday 25th July 2024 for students. The plan is as follows:

- P1 and P2 – lessons as normal

- Break – students entitled to free school meals will be able to take a “pick up and go” lunch, to be collected at break time. Usual break foods will be available for everyone as a normal on that day. The canteen will be closed at lunch to allow for a speedy exit from site for all students.

- P3 – lessons as normal

- P4/12pm (noon) – students leave through the usual exit escorted by staff
