What a great week at NUSA!

Things are developing ready for September…staff are making excellent headway on the following areas around our:

- Culture, vision and values

- Behaviour and attendance systems and processes

- Teaching and learning framework

- Curriculum model and subject intents

I’ll keep you updated as things solidify and if/when there are changes that affect you or our students.

To this end, I’m both disappointed and delighted to let you know that Mr James has been successfully appointed as Deputy Headteacher for Behaviour on a one year secondment at Kirk Hallam, a school which is part of our Trust.  This is a fantastic opportunity for him, and one which he has earned, and I know that you will join with me in wishing him well for this!  He leaves us on 28th June but he will, however, be back after next academic year!!!  I’ll announce who has replaced Mr James in his role in due course.

Transport to school:

Please be reminded that e-scooters are not permitted on school site.  As they are battery powered, they require a specific licence and, as such, they are not allowed on school site.

Uniform:

The weather is (hopefully!) heading towards being more representative of summer in the coming week. As things become apparent, I’ll contact you to give clarity on any changes to school uniform expectations if we need to amend this.
