Enrichment Opt-out Letter
Dear parent/carer,
This year at NUSA we are looking to extend our enrichment offer, to ensure that as many pupils as possible have access to a wide range of extracurricular experiences. Enrichment activities give pupils the chance to build on what they learn in lessons and apply this to different contexts, whilst helping them to develop relationships with staff and students and gain valuable knowledge and skills. It gives them the opportunity to explore areas of interest in greater depth and make positive contributions to our school community. Many of our enrichment opportunities take place after school. A full timetable of our afterschool clubs can be found by visiting our website www.nusa.org.uk and clicking on the enrichment tab.
To make it as easy as possible for staff to manage attendance at after school clubs, we are implementing an ‘opt out’ policy for this academic year. This means that unless you specify otherwise, we will assume your consent for your child to participate in after school activities until 4pm.
If you would prefer that your child did not attend any after school enrichment activities, or cannot attend on certain days, please complete the form using this link Microsoft Forms . Alternatively, your child has been provided with a paper version of the form which you can complete and return to school.
Please note that you do not need to do both. If you are happy for your child to attend any after school clubs that they would like to, up until a finish time of 4pm, then you do not need to do anything.
Your sincerely,
Miss E. Sayer PE Teacher and part of the Personal Development team
