Weekly Letter 08.05.23
WC: 08/05/2023
Dear Parent/Carer,
At NUSA this week:
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincerest appreciation for your unwavering patience and understanding throughout the recent disruptions caused by bank holidays and strike days.
We understand that these unforeseen circumstances have caused inconvenience and adjustments to the regular flow of our school routines. It is during such challenging times that we truly realise the strength of our community, and your support has been invaluable in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for our students.
We are yet to hear more news on future strike days but I will ensure that I update you as soon as possible.
We held our ‘reset’ assembly on Teams on Tuesday morning for our whole school. Routines are really important at NUSA and we want to ensure we can support your child to follow them. Over the next half term, we will be reiterating the importance of being on time, not just to school, but to everything we are expected to attend. If you could help to support us by ensuring you let us know if your child will be late for school, that would be great.
During the ‘reset’ assembly, we discussed the opportunity for selected students to attend Alton Towers as an end of term rewards trip. More details will follow in an additional letter from Mr James.
Year 11 are now on the final countdown. Please ensure your child is attending intervention where necessary, completing revision at home and generally being cheered on by everyone at home. We know they will all be successful. A reminder please that in these last few weeks for Year 11 the best place for them to be is in school. Absences should be at a bare minimum.
