Letter to Parents and Carer's
Dear Parent/Carer,
This half term has flown by and what a great one it has been. We are immensely proud of all of our students, however, extra credit must go to all of those who have sat exams over the past half term. After two years of really disrupted education, we have been full of admiration for the way in which the students have taken to the exams with such resilience and determination. I really hope they yield the results they all deserve.
A few updates:
Free School Meal vouchers
The council have once again offered Free School Meal vouchers for families for over the May half term. These will have been sent to the email address you have previously provided if you signed up historically.
Extra-curricular activities
Our new round of extra-curricular activities will begin after half term. Please ensure your child has returned all consent forms to enable them to take part.
School Uniform
As the weather warms up, blazers will not be compulsory from Monday 6th June 2022 until the end of the summer term. However, students will still be expected to be wearing full school uniform with shirts tucked in. Students should not wear trainers to school. Please use the opportunity of the holidays to purchase new shoes if they are needed. If you are having any difficulties with this, please contact your child’s form tutor or Head of Year so that we are aware.
End of summer term trips
Due to availability, we have had to move our end of school trip date to Friday 22nd July 2022. This will also be our final day of term. I will write to you with more details on this next half term.
Return date after half term
We will return to school at the normal time on Monday 6th June 2022.
I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.
Yours sincerely,
Emma Howard
Headteacher
