Letter to Year 10 and 9 Students Regarding Vaccinations
Dear Parents, Carers and Guardians
The School Aged Immunisation Service are recommencing the teenage vaccination programme in schools from March 7th. These programmes consist of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) doses 1 and 2 to all young people in year 8 and 9. Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio booster and Meningococcal ACWY to all young people in year 9.
There will be a number of students who have not received these vaccinations in the year groups detailed above due to the impact of COVID, we are planning to catch these young people up either in schools or at clinics.
With this in mind if you have previously consented to your child having these vaccinations the team will use this consent as the consent originally provided is enduring. If you have already completed a consent form you do not need to submit another consent form. If you decide you would like to withdraw your consent you must email sais@nottshc.nhs.uk at least 24 hours before your schools session.
If you have not given consent and would like to please go to www.nottinghamshireimmunisations.co.uk to complete the online consent form. Further information relating to consent will be sent from your child’s school.
For any queries please email sais@nottshc.nhs.uk
