University of Nottingham Physics Trip
Year 10 students who were interested in studying A-level physics were invited to the University of Nottingham Physics building. The idea of the day was to give a taste of what studying at University would be like, along with possible career options if they studied physics at degree level.
They undertook two physics experiments while they were there; testing blood samples for oxygen levels using an LDR and working out the efficiency of a motor. They had a tour of the campus as well as a tour of the physics building. The day finished with a careers talk about where a degree in physics could take you, and the best part – Liquid Nitrogen Demonstrations.
