Year 9 boys football team play against Ellis Guilford
To mark the start of the 2016-2017 football season the Year 9 boys’ football team found themselves away at Ellis Guilford School. As always, the game was free flowing, with both teams clearly determined to not be content with a draw. It was the home team that opened up the scoring, then quickly scored a second goal to take an early lead. However, NUSA then hit back with two goals of their own to go into the half-time break all square. At the start of the second half it was the turn of NUSA to take the lead, although unfortunately going on to concede a disappointing goal minutes later. With the game seemingly destined to be a draw after all, it was a moment of individual brilliance that saw Ellis Guilford take the lead with just 5 minutes remaining. Whilst NUSA placed Ellis under great pressure, they could not find that final goal to level the score.
The students were a credit to the school and are looking forward to getting their revenge on the return fixture!
