Year 10 Media Trip

On Friday 16th March, NUSA’s Year 10 Media Studies students visited the University of Nottingham and created the opening sequences to four new television crime dramas.

These lucky students worked proactively before the trip, putting in time and effort to work together to plan and storyboard their three minute opening sequences. Upon arrival, members of the University’s technical team helped all four groups bring their ideas to life.

Students were given the chance to film their stories on top-of-the-range equipment and edit them on professional software. They have since had a screening of the footage and have discussed the improvements they will make when they start their piece of audio-visual coursework.

Ms Mulcahy and Mr Bell were both very proud of the students’ dedication and the class’ manners and enthusiasm did not go unnoticed by those on campus.
